The Project Developer plays an important role in supporting the development of new business opportunities and ensuring the timeline is respected and offers are optimized, by analyzing and structuring projects offerings while maintaining fair and ethical treatment of all stakeholders through the whole solutions offering of ENGIE Solutions in the GCC.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support in the development of winning technical and commercial solutions, with the objective of decarbonizing our clients. The development of such solutions is in alignment with the commercial and the technical teams as well as the other support function teams.
  • Support in the development of designated projects.
  • Take the lead on schedule tracking and updates, coordinate and follow-up on deliverables with technical, commercial, financial and legal team
  • Support in the development of commercial and technical proposal.
  • Support and coordinate with the technical team to converge to a solution optimally designed, engineered, procured and planned/implemented.
  • Analyze project scopes, tender terms and other site/client requirements in detail to mitigate risk and devise the optimal solution.
  • Coordinate with the support functions to ensure development of legal and commercial contractual documents whilst processing in the development of the opportunity.
  • Assist in obtaining quotations from suppliers, manufacturers, contractors.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation/research's to the client ahead of meetings or offer presentation/negotiations.
  • Contributing in the preparation of relevant handover deck to the execution team during closing stage
  • Support as required on other activities related to strategy, planning, development and project mobilization.
  • Supports origination and proposal contents generation for solutions.
  • Supports the team with the compilation of pricing models for opportunities, model updates, and periodic pricing reviews.
  • Researches and applies local, state and/or federal regulatory requirements and oversees the uniform implementation of such requirements within the solution.
  • Support on bid evaluations, contractor negotiations
  • Support in developing governance and internal approval documents

Technical Project Development Manager

Skills Required:

  • English (required) / Arabic (advantage) / French (desirable)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of technical skills in decarbonization solutions like Street Lighting, cogeneration, solar PV plants, solar heat plants, and District cooling networks.
  • Superior research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs in a challenging development team environment.
  • Ability to juggle a busy and varied workload, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Must be a quick learner
  • Proven ability to act as discipline lead on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office software particularly MS Excel and Word
  • Experienced in the preparation of technical reports
  • A team player, dedicated to new business growth and the delivery of projects
  • Able to use initiative and has a desire to continuously improve
  • A keen belief in the importance of decarbonization to face the climate change, an advocate of the energy services industry as a conduit to achieve those goals

Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Business from a reputed University (Masters is a plus)
  • Commercial and technical acumen if a plus
  • Knowledge of Scheduling and Project Management principles
  • Advanced MS office skills, Word, Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint in particular

Other Requirements:

  • Must be available to travel and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
