Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations
- Perform bank reconciliations for multiple entities
- Process invoices, bills, and refunds
- Monitor and follow up on help desk tickets in Jira
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing, cancellations, refunds, and payment issues
- Maintain billing reconciliation records and project planners
- Track outstanding payments and take appropriate collection actions
Weekly Duties
- Reconcile banking transactions
- Process invoices and bills in accounting systems
- Participate in weekly calls with stake holder teams
- Generate and share accounts payable/receivable reports
- Manage document uploads to Hubdoc
Month-End Processes
- Process payroll for multiple entities
- Reconcile intercompany transactions
- Prepare and finalize monthly internal accounting statements
- Conduct budget vs. actual analysis
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Process payroll journals for international entities
- Prepare monthly financial performance reports
- Maintain and update financial models for various entities
Quarterly & Annual Responsibilities
- Prepare BAS (Business Activity Statements)
- Process superannuation payments
- Prepare VAT returns for UK entities
- Assist with year-end financial statements
- Finalize STP (Single Touch Payroll) reporting
- Complete annual budget preparations
Ad-hoc Projects
- Test and deploy financial workbooks to production environment
- Collaborate with development teams on feature improvements
- Prepare and send project proposals
- Assist with client proposal preparations
- Coordinate meetings between various stakeholders
- Update contact details in financial systems
- Analyze infrastructure costs
- Create and maintain financial process checklists
- Investigate fraudulent activities in payment systems
- Conduct R&D related financial work
- Prepare three-way financial models
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (Xero, QB)
- Familiarity with Hubspot, Brevo, or similar CRM systems
- Experience with project management tools (Jira, Notion)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with international accounting standards and practices
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
