Senior Manager - Accounting, Consolidation and Audits
This person will lead and manage accounting, reconciliation, and consolidation activities for international holding companies, including implementing accounting policies, overseeing audits, directing monthly closings, and supervising payables, receivables, and intercompany processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.
The Role
- Manage self and team in alignment with people management policies to maximize contributions to business performance.
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure efficient, timely, and high-standard team operations.
- Direct financial accounting activities, ensuring compliance with controls, standards, and timely reporting.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate data transfers and proper execution of accounting functions.
- Review and analyze consolidated financial reports for senior management to support decision-making.
- Advise senior management with in-depth analysis of revenue and expenses to achieve company goals.
- Ensure correct accounting treatments in monthly business/project reports.
- Propose improvements to Oracle ERP and HFM systems to enhance user experience and system utility.
- Maintain and periodically update the ownership chart to ensure accurate and current organizational information.
The Person
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field with a qualified accountancy degree (CPA, ACCA, CA)
- MBA Minimum Experience:
- 10-12 years of functional experience, including at least 6 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Advanced computer and financial systems knowledge
- Awareness of Audit Procedures and Financial controls.
- Thorough attention to detail
- Excellent understanding of accounting and the latest IFRS principles
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to review, analyze financial statements and information
- Strong problem-solving skills, accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills
- Ability to develop junior team members.
The selected candidate will follow the Middle East calendar on a 6-month contract with a hybrid work arrangement (office/home)
