#1012 - Sr. Data Specialist (Pharmaceutical industry)

We're seeking a highly skilled Data Specialist (Analyst or Engineer) with strong expertise in SQL, Snowflake and Power BI to join our team. 

The ideal candidate will bring solid experience within the Pharmaceutical industry, combined with a deep understanding of Data Governance and Compliance frameworks. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can transform complex data into actionable insights while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices. Qualifications:

• Native Spanish or Portuguese language.
• Strong command of English language (Upper-Intermediate/B2 level or Advanced/C1 level).
• +5 years of experience working as a Data Analyst, with strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Professional experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is a Must.
• Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake and Power BI is a Must.
• Proven experience with data governance and compliance frameworks.
• Competency in programming languages for data tasks, such as Python or R.
• Exposure to cloud-based data warehouse environments (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Microsoft Azure Data Solutions) is considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, transform, and interpret complex datasets using SQL Server and T-SQL to support business and operational decision-making.
• Design, develop, and maintain data models, queries, and analytical solutions using Snowflake and related data platforms.
• Create, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports, translating business requirements into actionable data insights.
• Collaborate with pharmaceutical business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver accurate, reliable analytical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, accuracy, and integrity across multiple data sources and reporting environments.
• Apply data governance, compliance, and security standards, particularly within regulated pharmaceutical environments.
• Identify data issues, investigate root causes, and implement solutions to improve data reliability and reporting accuracy.
• Use Python or R to automate data preparation, analysis, validation, and other data-related processes when appropriate.
• Work with cloud-based data warehouse and analytics environments, contributing to the integration and optimization of data solutions.
• Document data processes, business rules, analytical methodologies, and governance requirements to support transparency and maintainability.
• Partner with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and business teams to improve data pipelines, reporting processes, and overall data accessibility.
• Stay aligned with industry and organizational standards related to pharmaceutical data, compliance, governance, and analytics.
