Lead Operational Planning
In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Operations and be responsible for the overall planning setup at Aviator. You will lead a team of 10-15 planners, ensuring that workforce planning, scheduling and rostering are executed with precision and in line with business needs, contractual frameworks, and collective agreements. You will also be responsible for the successful implementation and optimization of Aviator's new Resource Management System, supporting both long-term planning and daily operations.
Furthermore, you will ensure that rosters, shifts, and schedules are delivered on time, that qualified employees are in place, and that vacation and training needs are coordinated effectively. At the same time, you will safeguard operational stability, meet key performance targets such as "Hours per Task", and ensure compliance with union agreements while balancing company objectives with team building and employee well-being.
The Experienced Planner & People Leader
You are an experienced manager with a strong track record in operational planning and people management, preferably from aviation, logistics, or another complex, regulated industry. You bring solid experience in workforce scheduling and planning, and you have hands-on knowledge of working within union frameworks, collective agreements, and employee representation.
You combine strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving with the ability to make pragmatic decisions in a high-pressure environment. At the same time, you are a people leader who can develop and motivate teams, build trust, and align diverse stakeholders through clear communication. You thrive on solving complex operational challenges, balancing short-term demands with long-term improvements, and you are motivated by creating planning processes that respect both business needs and employee rights.
