Legal support across R&D functions
As Legal Counsel (R&D) at Pharmacosmos, you will become part of the Legal R&D team within the Legal Department and report to the Director; Legal R&D. In this central role, you will act as a trusted legal sparring partner to the R&D organization, advising on the legal aspects of clinical trials and related development activities in close collaboration with Clinical Operations and other stakeholders. A key part of the role will involve drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of agreements supporting R&D activities, including confidentiality agreements, clinical trial agreements, contracts with CROs, clinical vendors, various types of consultants engaged across R&D and ISS agreements. You will also provide legal support on data protection and governance matters , including clarifying data protection roles and data flows, advising on data transfer frameworks and data processing agreements, and supporting regulatory compliance matters such as sponsor obligations under GCP. In addition, you will contribute to improving contracting processes across R&D by maintaining templates, playbooks, and negotiation frameworks that enable efficient and consistent collaboration with internal and external partners.

Legal professional with R&D insight

You hold a relevant legal degree (e.g., cand.jur., cand.merc.jur., or equivalent) and have gained experience from a pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or similar life sciences environment. You bring experience supporting legal matters within R&D and Clinical Operations and understand how legal advice enables clinical development activities. You are experienced in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts in a regulated setting and have worked with data protection and general regulatory considerations related to clinical research. Knowledge of GCP and HCP compliance frameworks will be considered a plus. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and communicate legal matters clearly and pragmatically to business stakeholders.
