As Project Procurement Director at GEA, you will report to Senior Director Procurement & Supply Chain and asumme full ownership of the Project Procurement department. You will hold the overall responsibility for ensuring an efficient and professional project procurement organization with a strong focus on strategy, process optimization, and operational excellence. The role includes leadership and development of employees, performance management, and establishing strong cross-functional collaboration throughout the organization. In addition, you will act as a key partner in both pre-sales and commercial support activities, contributing in projects through supplier coordination and by ensuring competitive and compliant solutions. Furthermore, you will act as a key interface between Procurement, Sales, Project Management, and suppliers, you will play an important role in ensuring commercially competitive solutions, strong supply chain performance, and continuous improvement across the organization. Finally, the position also involves coordinating global supply chain activities with a focus on project planning, supplier negotiations, cost management, governance, and the continuous development of processes and collaborations across locations and suppliers.

Experienced procurement leader from multinational and project-driven business setup

We expect you to hold a relevant educational degree within engineering, business administration, or a similar field, but most importantly you bring extensive experience from procurement and supply chain roles in multinational and project-driven organizations. You bring solid experience within procurement, supply chain management, supplier management, international contract management, and negotiations across global supplier markets, combined with strong commercial and financial understanding and profound knowledge of supply and demand planning. Furthermore, you have proven leadership experience from complex and matrix-based organizations and possess strong analytical capabilities that enable you to translate data into actionable insights and operational improvements. You are experienced working with ERP systems (SAP or DAX) and BI reporting tools, and you communicate confidently across functions, cultures, and organizational levels. Finally, you are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
