Job Description:

Are you a meticulous number-cruncher with a keen eye for detail? We're seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). As an integral part of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.

2. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, billing, and collections. Ensure timely payment of invoices and accurate tracking of receivables.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor variances between actual and budgeted expenses, and provide analysis to management.

4. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Generate financial reports for management review and external audits.

5. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns. Work closely with external tax advisors to optimize tax efficiency.

6. Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data. Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.

7. Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide support as needed. Prepare audit schedules and assist in the resolution of audit findings.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2. Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the UAE.

3. Knowledge of UAE accounting standards and regulations.

4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

6. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

9. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
