Veersas rich technology expertise manifests in the various tech accelerators and frameworks developed inhouse to assist in rapid solutions delivery and implementations. Its end-to-end data ingestion, curation, transformation, and augmentation framework has helped several clients quickly derive business insights and monetize data assets.

Veersa teams work across all emerging technology areas such as AI/ML, IoT, and Blockchain and using tech stacks as MEAN, MERN, PYTHON, GoLang, ROR, and backend such as Java Springboot, NodeJs, and using databases as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle on AWS and Azure cloud using serverless architecture

Veersa has two major business lines – Veersalabs: An In-house R&D and product development platform and Veersa tech consulting: Technical solutions delivery for clients. Veersas customer base includes large US Healthcare software vendors, Pharmacy chains, Payers, providers, and Hospital chains. Though Veersas focus geography is North America, Veersa also provides product engineering expertise to a few clients in Australia and Singapore.

Were seeking a bright and energetic technologist/product owner to set up and manage a team of bright and skilled engineers, balancing technical expertise with leadership and strategic vision. You will be responsible for managing a team of equally bright and skilled engineers overseeing projects, and ensuring they align with the company's overall goals, often acting as a bridge between the technical and business sides.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management:

Hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating engineers. This includes fostering a positive and productive team environment.

Project Leadership:

Planning, executing, and managing engineering projects from start to finish. This involves setting goals, defining timelines, allocating resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Technical Expertise:

Maintaining a strong understanding of technology and its applications. This allows the manager to provide guidance to the team, make technical decisions, and ensure the quality of the work.

Strategic Alignment:

Collaborating with other departments to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. This also includes contributing to the company's long-term strategic planning.

Process Improvement:

Identifying areas for improvement in engineering processes and implementing changes to increase efficiency and quality. This includes adopting agile methodologies and tools to streamline workflows.

Communication:

Communicating effectively with team members, stakeholders, and other departments. This includes providing regular updates on project progress, soliciting feedback, and addressing concerns.

Risk Management:

Identifying and mitigating potential risks to projects and the company. This includes conducting risk assessments, developing contingency plans, and proactively addressing issues.

Key Requirements

Strong technical background:

Minimum 15 years' experience in the relevant engineering field (e.g., software, data, etc.). with experience in product management or product engineering roles with an engineering degree in computer science or .

Leadership and management experience:

Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, delegate tasks effectively, and provide constructive feedback.

Project management skills:

Ability to plan, execute, and manage projects effectively, including setting goals, defining timelines, and managing resources.

Communication skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.

Problem-solving skills:

Ability to identify and solve problems quickly and effectively, both individually and as part of a team.

Adaptability:

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.

  1. Worked in a product company preferable a start-up in a product management role or product engineering role.
  2. Have built and led a team of 15-20 engineers and quality analysts in product development.
  3. Computer Science and Engineering background
  4. Around 18 to 20 years of overall experience but experience is not such a hard parameter to evaluate.
  5. Should be close to technology preferably still does some level of tinkering and playing around with technology.
  6. Good communicator
