About the job Head of Finance & Controlling - APAC
A leading global organization is seeking a VP of Finance & Controlling to drive financial strategy, operational efficiency, and business partnership across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This leadership role will oversee financial planning, controlling, and risk management, ensuring cost-effective operations and supporting business growth in an industrial and manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership & Oversight Manage all Finance and Controlling functions across the APAC region, including coordination with outsourced shared service centers.
- Strategic Development Define and execute regional finance strategies, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
- Business Partnership Act as a strategic advisor to regional leadership, challenging business plans, providing financial insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Financial Management Oversee cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and capital investments, ensuring financial health and efficiency.
- Operational Excellence Align regional operations with corporate strategies, identifying process improvements and efficiency opportunities, particularly in manufacturing finance and industrial cost structures.
- Risk & Compliance Develop and implement risk management frameworks, ensuring financial and operational risks are effectively mitigated, with a focus on manufacturing operations, supply chain finance, and cost controls.
- Shared Services Management Work closely with finance shared service centers, ensuring efficient outsourcing models for finance operations, compliance, and reporting.
- Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop diverse finance teams across multiple locations, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CMA are a plus.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or related fields, with at least 5 years in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
- Strong business acumen with a proven ability to drive financial performance, cost optimization, and operational efficiency in a complex, multinational environment.
- Hands-on experience working with shared service centers, ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance across multiple locations.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures, supply chain finance, and capital investments in industrial operations.
