Settlements Team Lead

Were looking for a Settlements Team Leader to oversee daily settlement operations and lead a team of high-performing Settlements Officers. In this role, youll manage fund disbursements, transaction reconciliations, account adjustments, and key admin tasks such as partner support, PPSR requests, and cash management. You'll also handle escalations, monitor KPIs, and drive process improvements to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coach a team of Settlements Officers.
• Oversee end-to-end settlements, reconciliations, and account adjustments.
• Manage partner support, PPSR, and cash management requests.
• Handle complex escalations and ensure compliance with audit standards.
• Track KPIs/SLAs and prepare performance reports.
• Collaborate with Sales, Credit, Compliance, and Customer Service.
• Support training, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years in settlements, disbursements, or loan operations.
• 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of loan lifecycle and settlement processes.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
• Experience with CRMs/ticketing tools (e.g., Zendesk) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Australian compliance (AML/CTF, Privacy Act, NCCP) is a plus.
