Payroll Officer
About the job Payroll Officer
Vault Outsourcing is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to support one of our established Australian clients. This role will primarily focus on end-to-end payroll processing, employee payroll administration, and ensuring compliance with Australian payroll legislation and company policies.
This is a great opportunity to work closely with an Australian-based team and gain exposure to large-scale payroll operations within a well-established corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process new starters, terminations, and separation certificates
- Complete fortnightly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time
- Process payroll using SAP Payroll, EC SuccessFactors, Payroll Control Centre, and Spinifex reports
- Review and validate Time and Attendance data
- Maintain employee payroll records, including leave, movements, and separations
- Prepare PAYG payments and submit Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting
- Process and maintain employee superannuation records
- Assist with superannuation reconciliations and month-end payroll activities
- Respond to payroll-related queries and provide administrative support
- Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and internal requirements
Key Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or payroll industry experience
- Experience in a large corporate payroll environment
- Exposure to both salaried and Award-based payroll environments
- Understanding of Australian payroll legislation and statutory requirements
- Experience with SAP Payroll, SuccessFactors, Oracle/ERP systems, or similar platforms
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
