About the job Finance Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare daily bank reconciliations, journal entries, and financial accounts for Vault OPC.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial records and reports, assisting with the preparation of consolidated financial statements as needed.
- Manage end-of-month and year-end closing processes.
General Ledger & Reconciliation
- Manage general ledger entries, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, petty cash, receivables, payables, and intercompany accounts.
Tax Compliance & Preparation
- Ensure compliance with BIR regulations, manage tax reporting and filing requirements, and obtain necessary approvals to ensure timely payments.
- Prepare and submit relevant tax documents, including VAT, income tax, and withholding tax, ensuring that all submissions are made on time and coordinating with external tax advisors as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of PEZA reports, including EZMPR, ITH Validation, and other documentation required to ensure compliance with PEZA rules and regulations.
Payroll Review & Compliance
- Review payroll processes to ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws and regulations.
- Verify payroll calculations, deductions, and benefits to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Address payroll-related concerns and coordinate with HR and external service providers as needed.
Financial Analysis
- Analyze financial data to provide insights on financial trends, profitability, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and recommendations to improve operational and financial performance.
Audit Coordination
- Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Address audit findings and implement recommended improvements.
- Conduct internal audits to provide report findings and recommendations for improvement to the Management.
Technical & Advanced Computing Skills
- Utilize advanced Excel functions, including macros, pivot tables, and data analysis tools, to streamline financial processes.
- Leverage AI tools and software to enhance financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making.
Ad Hoc Tasks
- Perform ad hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, and general accounting.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation laws (BIR compliance, VAT, income tax, withholding tax) and PEZA regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, data analysis tools).
- Experience in preparing financial statements and managing end-of-month and year-end closing processes.
- Strong understanding of payroll processing and compliance with Philippine labor laws.
- Ability to perform financial analysis and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
- Experience in handling external audits and addressing audit findings with actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity with leveraging AI tools for financial reporting and process automation.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
