AU Accounting Lead

About the Role

Were seeking a proactive Accounting Team Leader for our finance team in the Philippines. Youll support the Senior Financial Manager in Australia, overseeing transactional accounting operations and driving excellence in AP, AR, and general ledger functions. This role offers a dynamic, cross-border environment with significant impact on our growing Australian organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Philippine accounting team
• Manage AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end close and financial reporting
• Align with the Australian finance team on deliverables and deadlines
• Drive process improvements and implement best practices
• Support audit preparation and compliance with Australian standards

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CA qualified
• 5+ years accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of transactional accounting and Australian standards
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP or NetSuite
• Familiarity with Salesforce and Blackline is a plus
• Excellent communication and cross-timezone collaboration skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Experience in Financial Services or FinTech highly regarded
