About the job Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensure statutory compliance, and maintain accurate payroll records. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Philippine payroll and hands-on experience using Sprout for timekeeping and payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer end-to-end local payroll using Sprout, including timekeeping, attendance validation, and payroll processing.
  • Manage and review employee time and attendance data in Sprout, ensuring accuracy prior to payroll runs and client invoicing.
  • Process and remit government-mandated contributions and benefits (SSS, PHIC, HDMF) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations, journal entries, and payroll-related reports.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and pay-related disputes raised by employees, including attendance or payroll concerns.
  • Maintain payroll operations in compliance with company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Process final pay computations for separated employees.
  • Generate and submit payroll reports to the Finance Manager after every payroll release.
  • Coordinate with HR and Finance on payroll-related concerns and system updates.
  • Perform other payroll-related and ad hoc tasks as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accountancy or related field.
  • At least 5 years of payroll experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Sprout Payroll and Timekeeping (required).
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine statutory requirements (BIR, SSS, PHIC, HDMF).
  • Proficiency in cloud-based accounting systems is a plus (Juan Tax and Xero).
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Willing to work onsite in Alabang
