Position Overview: Accountant (CPA)
We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant (CPA) to provide financial support to a family office. The ideal candidate will bring:
- Strong financial expertise
- Project management experience
- Background in property development or construction
This role is ideal for a self-motivated, autonomous problem solver who thrives in an independent setting and can effectively manage financial responsibilities with precision and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of investments, ensuring regular reporting is received.
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Manage accounts receivable and issue invoices.
- Manage accounts payable, vendor relationships, and perform reconciliations.
- Prepare bank and Balance Sheet reconciliations, including month-end reports.
- Assist in processing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents in compliance with legal and company standards.
- Prepare payroll, including schedules, calculations, deductions, and additions.
- Update financial data in databases, including recording accruals and prepayments, ensuring accurate and accessible information for reporting and analysis.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly financial reports.
- Manage financial records for family investments, including property rental income and maintenance expenses.
- Assist with tax-related tasks, such as data entry for tax returns and quarterly activity statements.
- Support senior accountants with monthly/yearly closings and other accounting projects as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (Required)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification (Required)
- 3-5 years of proven experience as an Intermediate Accountant
- Strong financial and accounting knowledge with relevant qualifications preferred
- Experience in project management, particularly in property development, real estate, or construction (Highly desirable)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Familiarity with property maintenance and construction processes (A plus)
- Ability to work independently, solve problems autonomously, and conduct research
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
