Position Summary:

The company is currently seeking A-players to join its team as Vacation Rental Suites Cleaners. In this role, team members will play a pivotal part in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the suites, exceeding guest expectations with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the company's high standards of hospitality.

Key Expectations:

  • Thoroughness: The cleaner is expected to clean all designated areas thoroughly, leaving no visible dirt, dust, or grime.
  • Attention to Detail: The cleaner should pay close attention to details, including corners, edges, and hard-to-reach areas, ensuring a consistently high level of cleanliness.
  • Timeliness: Cleaning services must be completed within the agreed-upon timeframe for each session, with prompt arrival and departure as scheduled.
  • Use of Proper Cleaning Techniques: The cleaner should utilize industry-standard and appropriate cleaning techniques for different surfaces, materials, and areas.
  • Proper Handling of Cleaning Products: Cleaning products must be used in accordance with manufacturer instructions, and the cleaner should be knowledgeable about the proper use and handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Respect for Property and Furnishings: The cleaner is expected to exercise care and caution while cleaning to prevent damage to property, furniture, fixtures, and other items within the cleaning area.
  • Communication: The cleaner should promptly communicate any issues or concerns related to the cleaning services to the company, including the discovery of any damages or necessary repairs.
  • Adherence to Schedule: Adherence to the agreed-upon cleaning schedule is crucial. Any changes to the schedule should be communicated in advance and approved by the company.
  • Professionalism: The cleaner should conduct themselves in a professional and workmanlike manner, including wearing appropriate uniforms, using proper language, and maintaining a positive and respectful demeanor while on the client's premises.
  • Security Measures: The cleaner must follow security protocols established by the Company including, but not limited to, the proper locking and securing of doors and windows, to ensure the safety of the client's property during and after cleaning.
  • Flexibility: The cleaner shall confirm to any reasonable changes in the cleaning tasks or schedule as communicated by the company or client, especially during holiday periods.
  • Client Satisfaction: The contract shall ensure that the services are up to the minimum standards of the Company. The contractor should be responsive to client feedback and take corrective actions promptly if any issues arise.

CLEANING

  • Dust all surfaces, behind furniture, underneath furniture, skirting boards and cornice.
  • Pour a bit of bleach down the sink drains in kitchen and bathroom
  • Check all pots and dishes are clean and not damaged. If dirty, rewash. If any pots were burnt or damaged take note and photos and send to owner
  • Clean behind bed and bedside tables, TV units etc.
  • Dust and clean power points and switches
  • Clean kitchen bench, cupboards, sink, stove, oven, microwave, microwave cover, stove splash back and wipe down interior and exterior of the fridge
  • Throw out and food left behind.
  • Check the toaster, kettle, and clean if needed. Use Vinegar to clean once a month and boil water 3 times after initial vinegar water to ensure that such items do not taste like vinegar.
  • Clean bathroom floor including the behind of the toilet, the toilet, shower, sink, and vanity, exterior and interior of any vanity drawers.
  • Clean Bathroom and Robe Mirrors as needed
  • Wipe down for dust: furniture, bedroom lamps, ledges and toilet tank etc.
  • Check inside all drawers and cupboards to make sure they are clean, no hairs, etc
  • Empty kitchen and toilet bins. Replace bin liners if needed
  • Replace towels, all linen and tea towels with clean ones.
  • Put everything back in a pre-defined place in case guests may have moved any items including, but not limited to, the, sofa, iron, ironing board, kettle, toaster, plastic bags, decorations.
  • Turn off air conditioner

THE CONTRACT SHALL VACUUM & MOP THE FOLLOWING:

  • Including under bed and sofa as required
  • Check all drawers, cupboards and under bed and sofas to make sure nothing was left behind. 
  • If something was left behind, let the owner know immediately.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as necessary.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment is a plus.

Other requirements:

  • Australian Business Number (ABN) is preferred but we can help you apply for one
  • Ability to invoice for cleaning jobs
  • Must have their own means of transportation, scooter is a plus, car is preferred
  • Should have their own insurance or work cover
  • Willing to undergo background check
