Job Description:

The candidate will manage and oversee the shipments received, documentation and certifications for customs duties. Compliances for foreign trade and also import and exports of shipments for smooth business operation. Supply chain Management and manage all the aspects of International trade.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge on Managing Import of Shipments in trading.
  • Responsible for import documentation
  • Knowledge on ITC HS code and certifications required for importing into India.
  • Product Classification and ITC HS code and various types of customs duties and its applicability.
  • Co-ordination with CHA's, Freight forwarders and suppliers for shipments from various regions.
  • Ensure and Monitor compliances of foreign trade rules for all shipments.
  • Pro-efficiency on GST and its implications in case of imports and exports.
  • Pro-efficiency on Trade agreements/ Bi lateral agreements, Customs. Notifications and Circulars for imports and duty concessions.
  • Customs clearance process like Checklist approval, submission of required documentations for courier and cargo shipments.
  • Thorough knowledge on Incoterms, International Payment Processes, Types of Bill of Entries, Shipment Modes, Airway waybills & Bill of Lading etc
  • Team handling capabilities

Requirements:

  • Any Graduate/Post Graduate.
  • Bachelors or Master degree in any stream.
  • 6-8 Years of Experience with handling a team of 3-4, Handling customs, Freight Forwarding, ITC HS codes, certifications required for importing various category of products.
  • Work experience from an 100% EOU or an SEZ.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skill.
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of International Trade.
  • Proficient knowledge of handling customs related issues and activities.
