::: KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :::

Performance Monitoring and Optimization of Well/Platform/Field Production/Injection/Disposal

  • Monitor daily oil production and communicate production variances to the management team
  • Work with team members in Development and Production on strategies and activities to ensure goals are met in conjunction with reservoir and injection/ disposal management plans
  • Well performance evaluation and Modelling (Prosper Modelling) including reservoir productivity potential
  • Assess gaps in subsurface data requirements and make requests for PVT samples, pressure measurements, pressure transient test, etc.
  • Coordinate and Lead Well Reviews
  • Develop water injection/disposal management plans
  • Provide support in debottlenecking (of facility) studies to increase production and recovery

Well Interventions, Workovers, and Infill Wells - Planning and Execution

  • Prepare well intervention and workover recommendations
  • Data preparation and analysis to support artificial lift and well completions designs and related cost estimates
  • Work with Production, drilling and well services to manage well integrity issues
  • Support drilling planning and create BfWD and DSP, review well target trajectories, and completion design for deviated and horizontal wells; Support pore pressure prediction and the formulation of reservoir evaluation plans (logs, tests, core)
  • Provide drilling operations support including cement evaluation, integrity logs, recommend perforation intervals
  • Maintain the completions database and production database
  • Identify and Prepare slot recovery proposals and documentation for DMF

Hydrocarbon Resource Management

  • In conjunction with, Generate field short term production forecasts, Life of Field forecasts in order to provide input to the end of year reserves process
  • Proactive well and reservoir management (RMP/WRM) and update same Predict reserves and production performance for infill well proposals and recompletion activities
  • Develop and maintain reserves database
  • Estimate reserves and production forecast using decline curve analysis (DCA) software
  • Prepare Reservoir Depletion Plan in conjunction with YE reserves

Business Planning, Economics, and Prod/Forecasts

  • Evaluate projects using economic models (PEEP, Excel)
  • Prepare annual and monthly production Capex/ Opex and software estimates for business plan and complete variance analysis from Outlook/Budget.
  • Coordinate annual business plan and Latest Estimate requirements with Planning group
  • Integrate with other disciplines in maintaining reservoir depletion plans, well production matrix / perforation plan, drilling sequence, and workover schedules
  • Prepare well work operating cost and new wells/recompletions capital cost inputs to business plan
  • Maintain HWU schedule and communicate to stakeholders; integrated drilling schedule to identify potential conflicts

Identify New Opportunities and Technologies

  • Stay current with new techniques for well intervention, artificial lift, data acquisition, and other discipline activities
  • Proactively find ways to add reserves/resources,& convert non-producing &undeveloped reserves to production.

Reservoir Engineering (10-25%)

  • Conduct various aspects of Reservoir Engineering to support day-to-day assignments.

:: QUALIFICATIONS :::

Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum or Reservoir). 
  • A Masters degree in Reservoir Engineering is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 10-15+ Years of reservoir engineering experience in the oil and gas industry with at least 3-5 years in reservoir simulation. 
  • Experience in modelling oil reservoirs, preferably with Petrel RE and Eclipse E100/300.
  • Experience working in different countries (especially Asia-Pacific) is an added advantage; Achieved QRE status.

Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of general engineering principles and theories; contributes to solving problems; may help management set technical/business objectives.
  • Experience using these programs; Petroleum Experts (MBAL/Prosper/GAP/PVTP), OFM, PEEP.
  • Proficient in Speaking and Writing for both Thai and English.
