Job Description Imagine... Working as a Java Developer within IT systems, participating in a team with an aim to deliver the master data management platform to the cloud and targeted to improve overall experience of the wholesale and rural client journey. We see the team as modern IT plumbers or surgeons establishing connections to global systems. All relevant client, trade and banker’s data is stored and secured. You are a strong learner and you are not afraid to discover new things. You work in a DevOps team and represent the driving force inside the team in producing solid, yet flexible, solutions for our users. Whether it’s on premise, or in the (AWS)Cloud, you know your way around our code. You understand the problem to be solved by understanding the user requirements, and how to implement these. You look for ways to solve problems, come with ideas but can also say ‘no’ when needed.

Department context Imagine working in a challenging and international environment to enable the bank in providing relevant, timely and accurate data for the business stakeholders to make fact-based decisions. As a Java Developer within the Wholesale & Rural department you participate in a team with the aim to develop improved data connections, improve existing applications and shift an on premise Data Management platform to the Cloud. In alignment with the architecture roadmap the data platform will connect to the Enterprise Data Lake.

Your contribution Your primary working areas are system, data and process improvements in the Global Client Data System (GCDS) teams. • Create and maintain application code in Java. • You will be responsible for implementing SOAP services, REST, Java programs, and production of smart data matching and filtering algorithms. • You translate complex business requirements into IT solutions. • You can produce robust code in the AWS cloud, or on premise. • You have experience with the Azure DevOps pipeline and other Azure functions. • You are part of a DevOps team with autonomy, you proactively participate in team decisions and challenge your team members on presented solutions and decisions.
