Job Summary
Join the team that is revolutionizing the timing industry with the best silicon Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) timing products in the world. As a MEMS Metrology Engineer, you will use your technical and creative problem solving skills to develop our metrology systems and engineer MEMS resonators for x next-generation timing products.
Responsibilities
- Design, run, and analyze experiments to understand device physics, materials, and fabrication
- Extend and improve RF metrology and automation; lead general lab development
- Define and drive adoption of improved measurement standards and laboratory practices
- Optimize MEMS devices and characterize their electrical, mechanical, and thermal performance
- Interface with local and overseas vendors
- Work in cross-functional Engineering teams, including Circuits, Systems, and Packaging
- Drive and/or support other projects as needed
Requirements & Qualifications:
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent required
- Skilled scientist with ability to design, conduct, and analyze experiments
- Experience running laboratory experiments with RF or microwave measurement required
- Proficient coder in Matlab, Python, C/C++, or C#, etc.
- Industry experience in device measurement, measurement automation, or test preferred
- Printed circuit board design experience and oscillator fundamentals preferred
- Excellent knowledge of physics: mechanics, electrodynamics, thermodynamics
- Excellent critical thinking and strong organizational skills
- Clear and concise scientific communication
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative fast-paced team environment
