Job Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Systems Engineer/Administrator who is eager to use and grow their technological skills. In this role, the successful individual will protect our critical information, systems, and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy. We are looking for a highly motivated individual looking to contribute and learn in a collaborative team environment.
The selected candidate will oversee the 24x7x365 stability, integrity, and efficient operation, for all company European offices. In the same time assist HQ with new IT initiative in Europe or other remote locations.
Responsibilities:
• Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
• Candidate will be located in Delft, Netherlands, main focus is the support of all X offices in
EU (Netherlands, Ukraine, Russia, …)
• Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, severs, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
• Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative
• Ability to perform under minimum supervision, yet be comfortable asking for help as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Strong technical knowledge of the complete inter-workings between hardware, applications, networking and user’s experiences.
• Technical and problem-solving skills in multiple flavors of Linux/Unix such as RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS, knowledge of cybersecurity practices it is important
• Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and supports enterprise server and backup hardware and devices.
• Manages system deployments, upgrades, patching, and migration projects in coordination with department leadership, Engineering teams, and Infrastructure team.
• Solid VMware (ESX), KVM, and RDP experience and general virtualization best practices.
Desired Characteristics & Attributes:
• Good command of English language (written and verbal) and communication skills required
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced team environment
• Have a great attitude and motivation to learn and apply new knowledge and skills
• 5 to 10 years’ experience with systems engineering
• BS in the field of Computer Science or comparable experience
• NetApp storage systems and ONTAP OS. Understanding of storage architectures, including peripheral interfaces (FC, SCSI, RAID, Ethernet) and multi-processor designs, TCP/IP-based LANs, iSCSI and Fibre Channel SANs
• Experience working with Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, GPO management)
• Familiarly with Microsoft Azure Hybrid Cloud and AWS environments
