Job Description

Do you happen to love pizza and like to be in contact with all kinds of relationships like our Budget holders, Financial Dept, Accounting Team, Local Operations, Business Analysts and external parties like auditors, payroll supplier and tax office? Then we are looking for you!

As our Financial Accountant EU you are responsible for one or more legal entities in the Netherlands & Belgium. You will be responsible for the financial administration including month-end P&L and Balance Sheet reporting, reconciliations and compliance. There is a deep focus on Fixed Asset management and reporting towards the consolidation department.

You will also be the main financial contact to the business regarding financial questions, supporting the business from a financial point of view and ensuring timely P&L and Balance Sheet reporting according to IFRS and group policies. Therefore, we are looking for someone with excellent communicating- and problem-solving skills.

As a part of the Financial Shared Service Center, stakeholder management, proactivity and a hands-on attitude is important and very much valued.

What else will you be doing?

  • You will be leading and improving financial reporting and accounting processes;
  • You will conduct analysis of accounting data and plausibility checks;
  • You will be a role model in work ethics and our culture.

Monthly activities and/or end of year activities:

  • Month-end activities like providing accurate and complete financial data (P&L) to Management including analysis on main P&Ls variances;
  • Control of monthly payslips and payroll entries;
  • Prepare monthly memo journal entries;
  • Responsible for the monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reporting;
  • Manage the Benelux Fixed Assets reporting (disclosure pack, Capex cashflow and Work In Progress);
  • Monitor financial aspects of stores building process, final price calculation and store movement.

Other activities:

  • Participate in implementing and developing new financial solutions;
  • Adjustment of systems setting to optimize and secure processes;
  • Pro-actively propose processes and systems enhancements;
  • Implement and continuously improve CAPEX follow-up module on built and turned stores.

Requirements:

  • You have a bachelor or masters degree in accounting;
  • You have 5 years of relevant work experience;
  • You are Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken. French is a big plus.
