Job SummaryAs a Computational Physicist, you will be pushing the boundaries of contemporary simulation and design methods to develop world-class MEMS resonators for use in ultra-precise timing applications. This includes improving the speed and accuracy of simulations and computations, correlating simulation results to physical results, developing a physical theory to support modeling techniques, parallelizing and automating resonator design to achieve better performance.
Responsibilities:• Develop cutting-edge design and simulation software• Tackle challenging problems in computation, mechanics, thermodynamics, and electrodynamics• Participate in the design of next-generation MEMS resonators and their packages• Improve simulation accuracy, speed, features, and optimization algorithms• Drive and support the company’s projects as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:• PhD in Physics, Applied Mathematics or equivalent• 3+ years in computational software development with proficiency in C, C++, Java, Python, or Matlab• Experience with software design patterns, parallel programming, and finite element analysis• Passion for working on challenging computational problems and developing top-quality code• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; clear scientific communication• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment• English fluency in written and spoken communication
