Position Description
Job Title: Oracle Developer (Oracle PL/SQL + Oracle Apex) Location:Arnhem

Reports to: Director Solutions Developer

Summary:

Our client is focused on finding the best logistics solutions for project(s), anywhere in the world. They make the global transportation of furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E) easier, faster and more efficient. We are a truly independent 4PL, finding the best carriers and rates while controlling all PO’s and shipments in our cloud based IT platform. To this ‘Control Tower platform’ we connect customers, suppliers, carriers and general contractors. All parties gain access to the same relevant (live) data, with up to date and accurate information & milestones on the entire inbound flow for each project.

The ‘connected environment’ ensures individual silos start acting as an integrated network. Having visibility across the entire network allows us to manage orders and the transportation to project job site(s) with unparalleled levels of control, coordination and (cost) efficiency. With each milestone and data-point captured in our IT system, it is able to detect and highlight important ‘exceptions’ (e.g. missed deadlines, damages, backorders) to our teams for immediate follow up - significantly lowering the risk of disruptions.

The Software Developer is responsible for the technical aspects of their custom platform . He/she is responsible for developing and implementing interfaces and other components of the platform .

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Development experience with Oracle 12c database and Oracle Apex 4.x/5.x/18.x/19.x

  • Experience in Oracle with SQL, PL/SQL, Performance Views, Data Dictionary, external tables,

    indexing, Cursors,

  • Constraints, Job Scheduling, Materialized Views

  • Experience in Web/UI design involving HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS and AJAX

  • Experience in Oracle apex page/application items, processes, form, reports

  • Good communication skills in English

  • Self-motivated, fast learner (Agile mindset)

  • Write SQL queries and create PL/SQL functions, procedures and packages that are optimized

  • Create and maintain Apex pages, Master/Detail Forms, Tabular Forms, Apex Collections, Interactive reports etc.

  • Create processes and scripts to load data from external file sources into Oracle Database

  • Provide production support for Oracle Apex Applications

  • Performance tuning of SQL, PL/SQL code

  • Follow best practices to document and track changes, synchronize development -UAT-

    Production environment

  • Troubleshoot operational issue - Trace Data, logic, and report back on root cause.

  • Develop and provide support to all system interfaces and coordinate with stakeholders to

    provide specifications for all core modules.

  • Analyze and ensure an efficient transition of all technical design documents and develop various

    SQL packages to provide support to all applications.

  • Monitor and recommend changes if required to all PL/ SQL packages and provide stored

    procedures and design and develop various relational databases.

  • Used PL/SQL Tables, Cursors to process vast volumes of data, and used bulk collect for a mass

    update as a performance improvement process.

  • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    Educational level/ Experience level:

    • Bachelors or Master’s Degree or equivalent education in IT field
    • 3-5 years direct work experience of coding in Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle Apex. • Knowledge of Oracle SQL Developer, Toad, Jira, Oracle performance tuning
    • Has experience as an Oracle DBA
