Senior PHP Backend Engineer

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Salary: USD $5,000-$5,500/month (adjusted based on experience and interview performance)
Nationality Requirement: Taiwanese/Chinese
Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 09:00-21:00
Age Requirement: 30-42 (no gender preference)
Industry Requirement: Must have experience in the i-Gaming (BC) industry

Job Responsibilities & Requirements-

1. Strong ability in requirement analysis and system architecture; good habits in configuration management, version control, and coding standards.
2. Able to independently develop and solve problems; strong teamwork spirit, good communication skills, proactive work attitude.
3. Familiar with object-oriented programming and common design patterns; passionate about technology, familiar with open-source software, and aware of emerging technologies.
4. Familiar with LNMP, Docker, and proficient in PHP development; must be highly skilled in at least one common PHP framework.
5. Experience using NoSQL tools such as Redis and Memcached, and capable of using caching technologies to handle high concurrency scenarios.
6. Experience in MySQL performance optimization, front-end performance optimization, and web application security is preferred.
7. Familiar with MVC frameworks and experienced in projects using frameworks such as Yii2 or ThinkPHP.
8. Familiar with RESTful API development.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience in game server development is highly preferred.
2. Experience with C extensions is a plus.
3. Proficient with Git commands and capable of resolving code conflicts.
4. Knowledge of CI/CD automation deployment is a plus.

Benefits & Compensation-

1. Salary paid in USD based on monthly exchange rate (no Taiwan labor/health insurance); salary released around the 10th of each month.
2. Work in Vietnam for 90 days, then return to Taiwan for 8 days of rest (airfare reimbursed).
3. Medical insurance provided.
4. Passport kept by the employee; company arranges visa.
5. Working hours: Monday to Saturday, 09:00-21:00.
6. Company-provided dormitory: one person per room, shared bathroom. (Employees may choose to live outside at their own expense.)
7. Chinese-style lunch and dinner provided Monday to Friday; meals on Saturdays are self-arranged.
