About the job Experience and Interface Designer
Responsible for shaping the end-to-end user experience for a cybersecurity command and control platform and dashboards used in maritime cybersecurity operations. You will serve as the UI/UX subject matter expert (SME) across discovery, interaction design, and visual design, ensuring usability, consistency, accessibility, and high design quality from concept to delivery.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Work with product owner, engineering, and cybersecurity stakeholders to translate cybersecurity use cases into user journeys, task flows, information architecture, and interaction models.
- Design core platform experiences (navigation, search, filtering, drill-downs) for high-volume, data-rich CTI workflows.
- Create dashboards and views optimized for speed, clarity, and decision-making in maritime cybersecurity operations.
- Deliver wireframes, prototypes, and UI specifications with responsive behavior, error/empty states, and consistent content hierarchy.
- Establish and maintain a design system (components, patterns, tokens) to ensure consistency across modules and future features.
- Conduct user research and usability testing with stakeholders; synthesize insights and iterate designs based on feedback and outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineers on handoff, implementation support, and UI quality validation before release
What we are looking for:
- At least 5 years of experience in UI/UX design for web applications.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design delivery for complex, data-heavy products.
- Proficiency with modern UI/UX design and prototyping tools, including component libraries and design system workflows.
- Strong interaction design skills for investigative workflows, including filtering, pivoting, and drill-down patterns.
- Good understanding of responsive design, and usability principles.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with front-end implementation constraints to support efficient delivery.
- A good command of English
