About the job Business Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive business process analysis of finance workflows including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Asset Accounting, whilst proposing ERP product-based solutions for enhanced efficiency.
- Analyze current-state and design future-state processes, identifying opportunities to simplify and standardize processes using ERP platform capabilities and clean-core principles.
- Facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder discussions, resolving conflicting requirements and challenging legacy practices to distinguish genuine business and policy needs from existing system constraints.
- Responsible for configuring and customize Finance ERP components, including organizational and financial structures, Chart of Accounts, Cost Centres, Profit Centres, Projects, accounting rules, workflows, approval structures, business rules and other core financial structures that support enterprise operations. Additionally, you may be required to develop prototypes or proof-of-concepts where appropriate to validate requirements and solution approaches before implementation.
- Develop sophisticated financial reports and leverage artificial intelligence for advanced analytics, whilst providing consultation and training to guide users on best practices and new functionalities.
- Responsible in making disciplined, scalable use of platform-native capabilities - data models, workflow engines, automation frameworks, permission models, integration connectors, and extension layers - including custom coding to support critical finance operations.
- Maintain accountability for platform delivery outcomes, including vendor-delivered work, conducting technical reviews similar to pull request reviews in software development.
- Responsible for analyzing defects and production issues across business processes, configurations, integrations and data, and support resolution and continuous improvement.
- Act as a Finance ERP functional specialist, independently reviewing and challenging SI- and vendor-proposed designs, configurations, customizations and technical solutions.
- Participate in building a sustainable Finance ERP capability, such as Centres of Excellence that set platform standards across business units and organizations, ensuring durable knowledge and capability remains within the organization.
Experience and Skills Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Demonstrate strong ownership, independently drive moderately complex to advanced scopes, and help uphold strong engineering standards whilst uplifting team capabilities.
- Possess deep expertise in Agile practices and Oracle Fusion Finance, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, or equivalent major enterprise platforms, coupled with strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS, financial statements, and reporting requirements.
- Possess technical proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion Finance, data migration, and troubleshooting is essential, along with excellent business process analysis, project management, problem-solving, and communication skills. Certification in major finance ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle) will be an advantage.
- Experience in deep platform mastery and architectural thinking, with a commitment to engineering excellence and continuous improvement will be an advantage.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead and govern vendor delivery with technical authority, guiding vendors towards high-quality delivery whilst shaping how teams build and maintain platform components.
- Experience in maintaining oversight and system governance over enterprise platforms, providing senior technical leadership to vendor teams and system integrators, and ensuring seamless integration across complex enterprise technology ecosystems.
- Have experience working in financial industries setting (e.g., Banking, Insurance) will be an advantage.
