Project Manager
About the job Project Manager
Responsible for execution of project management activities and scrum practices. You will work closely with product owners, engineers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver cybersecurity software solutions for the maritime sector.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies, ensuring delivery milestones are met.
- Engage and coordinate with cross-functional teams, resolving conflicts, and ensuring timely decision-making throughout the project lifecycle and escalate blockers early when needed.
- Facilitate scrum ceremonies (such as sprint planning, daily scrum, backlog refinement, sprint review, retrospective) and ensure they are outcome-driven and time-boxed.
- Work with product owner(s) to develop and maintain a prioritized product backlog with clear user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with maritime security objectives and regulations.
- Drive scrum practices for end-to-end delivery: create and refine story backlog, manage scrum boards, plan sprints, track sprint progress, manage spillovers, and ensure tickets are updated accurately and promptly, using a suitable Agile tool.
- Establish and maintain clear team working agreements (cadence, estimation approach, refinement standards, branching/release alignment where applicable).
- Monitor project delivery health and drive actionable improvements via retrospectives.
- Provide transparent and regular updates to stakeholders (status, risks, dependencies, decisions required) and help manage change to minimize disruption to the team.
What we are looking for:
- At least 5 years of experience as a project manager or scrum master in software development projects.
- Strong project management and scrum facilitation skills.
- Proven hands-on experience using agile tools for scrum execution.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and multiple teams.
- Relevant project management and/or scrum certification.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Good command of English
