Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux/Unix server environments.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Shell Scripts to automate operational and administrative tasks.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot Oracle SQL and MySQL queries for application support and reporting.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement proactive solutions.
  • Utilize monitoring tools such as Zabbix to ensure system availability and performance.
  • Manage source code repositories and deployment processes using GitLab.
  • Support artifact management and deployment through JFrog.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve production incidents within agreed SLAs.
  • Work closely with application, database, and infrastructure teams to support system enhancements and deployments.
  • Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support guides.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patching, and release activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration or application support.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix commands and administration.
  • Solid experience in Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn Shell or similar).
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL and MySQL query language.
  • Experience working with relational databases and SQL performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • GitLab
    • JFrog
    • Zabbix Monitoring
  • Experience troubleshooting production environments and resolving technical incidents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise or mission-critical applications.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with database administration concepts is an advantage.
  • Experience with application deployment and release management.
  • ITIL knowledge or experience working in an IT Service Management (ITSM) environment is a plus.
