Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and functional teams to gather and document business requirements for SAP HCM system enhancements and customizations.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and develop efficient ABAP programs, reports, and interfaces that support business processes.
  • Perform ABAP coding, debugging, testing, and optimization to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Perform configuration settings and maintenance to Personnel Management, Time Management, and Payroll modules.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including program specifications, test plans, and user guides.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize existing SAP processes, recommending and implementing improvements that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patches, and new module implementations by providing technical expertise and analysis.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues, providing timely support to end-users.
  • Adhere to existing IT service management and change management standards.
  • Participate in project implementations, including preparing reports and documentation.

Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Key Technical Skills/ Knowledge:

  • 8+ years experience with production support and troubleshooting with ABAP development, with emphasis on SAP ECC6 Personnel Management, Time Management, and Payroll modules, developing SMART Forms and SAP scripts, Web Service development (provider and consumer roles), SAP workflow development.
  • Proven experience as an SAP ABAP Programmer and Business Analyst, with hands-on experience in ABAP development, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Good understanding of IDOCs.
  • Configuration across Personnel Management, Time Management, and Payroll modules to meet business requirements (setting up organization structure, master data, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules and processes, with the ability to analyse and interpret complex business requirements.
  • Proficiency in designing and developing custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms within the SAP ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with SAP integration technologies and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • SAP certifications and experience with SAP SuccessFactors or Concur are a plus.
