Web Developer

• Consistently create and deliver well-designed, tested code using best practices for website development.
• Code custom WordPress features in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 and work on previously developed custom features and themes.
• Maintain and manage several WordPress websites, serving as the technical liaison to a managed WordPress host.
• Maintain and manage our global employee intranet in Azure and AWS.
• Write secure code and respond quickly to security issues that may arise.
• Comfortable working in staging and live environments.
• Translate communication or design requests into high-quality and high-performing features.
• Collaborate with designers to match visual intent and create intuitive user experiences.

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Web Developer.
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous web development projects.

Skills:

• Proficiency in front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with back-end languages such as PHP, Ruby, Python, or Java.
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Knowledge of database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Know-how of website development using low-code platforms (e.g., OutSystems, Mendix).
• Cloud experience with providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
• Knowledge of web security principles and best practices.
• Experience with deploying and managing web applications in the cloud.
• Certifications (optional but preferred):
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate.
• AWS Certified Developer.
• Google Cloud Professional Developer.
