Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to support an ongoing cloud migration project. The engineer will work closely with the Tech Lead to support Azure architecture, infrastructure implementation, CI/CD, automation, migration, and production troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should be technically hands-on with strong knowledge of the Azure ecosystem, while also having sufficient understanding of Azure architecture to implement solutions based on the project's architectural and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Tech Lead to design, implement, and support Azure solutions.
• Understand the existing and target Azure architecture and translate architectural requirements into hands-on implementation.
• Support cloud migration activities, including infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Provision and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Deploy and support containerized applications using Azure Container Apps (ACA) and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Configure and support Azure API Management (APIM).
• Implement secure authentication and access using Managed Identity and Azure Key Vault.
• Configure and troubleshoot Azure networking, including VNets, Private Endpoints, and related network connectivity.
• Implement monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, security, and application-related issues in production environments.
• Provide production support and assist with incident investigation and resolution.
• Follow Azure security, reliability, and operational best practices.
• Identify technical risks and provide recommendations to the Tech Lead during migration and implementation.

Must-Have Requirements

Azure & Architecture

• Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure experience at a senior level.
• Strong understanding of Azure architecture and cloud design principles.
• Good understanding of Azure security best practices, identity, networking, and application architecture.
• Ability to understand architectural designs and translate them into technical implementation.

DevOps & Infrastructure as Code

• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong experience with Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Experience with infrastructure provisioning, deployment automation, and configuration management.

Azure Platform & Containers

• Hands-on experience with Azure Container Apps (ACA).
• Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience with Azure API Management (APIM).
• Good understanding of containerized and cloud-native application deployments.

Azure Security & Networking

• Experience with Managed Identity.
• Experience with Azure Key Vault.
• Strong understanding of Azure Networking, including:
  • Virtual Networks (VNet)
  • Private Endpoints
  • Network connectivity and troubleshooting
• Understanding of secure Azure architecture and access management.

Monitoring & Production Support

• Hands-on experience with Azure Monitor.
• Experience with Application Insights.
• Strong production support and troubleshooting experience.
• Able to independently investigate infrastructure, application, deployment, connectivity, and performance issues.

Migration & Collaboration

• Experience with Azure/cloud migration projects is preferred.
• Able to work closely with the Tech Lead and provide technical input and recommendations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Must be hands-on technically, rather than purely architecture or management focused.

Good to Have

• Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Experience with broader Azure DevOps services.
• DevSecOps experience.
• Scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar.
• Experience supporting enterprise or business-critical Azure environments.
