Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage business stakeholders, business/product owners, operational teams and external vendors to elicit, analyse, frame the problems and document business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, metrics, process flows, service journey, wireframes and other project artefacts.
• Conduct impact assessments and gap analysis for business requirements, incidents and integration initiatives.
• Analyse existing business processes and recommend improvements to enhance service delivery, user experience and operational efficiency.
• Facilitate requirement workshops, solution walkthroughs, sprint refinement sessions and user acceptance discussions.
• Work closely with the cross-functional Scrum team to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into system solutions.
• Support solution design discussions involving OutSystems, AWS services, APIs and external system integrations.
• Review functional designs and proposed solutions to ensure alignment with business objectives and operational needs.
• Assist in release planning, requirement prioritisation, product backlog grooming and backlog management activities.
• Support SIT/UAT activities including test scenario preparation, result collation, defect triage, business validation and deployment readiness assessments.
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis and service recovery activities for production issues.
• Prepare and maintain documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, user guides, training materials and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, operations, platform and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with government policies, IM8 requirements and system governance standards.
• Support change management, stakeholder communications and user adoption activities for the releases including conduct user training sessions.

Essential Skill Sets:

• 5 + years experience as Business Analyst
• Experience in agile-scrum methodology and end-to-end project lifecycle, including writing user stories and participating in sprint ceremonies
• Experience with tools like Confluence, JIRA, or similar project management and documentation platforms
• Experience in UAT
• Experience building government or public sector digital products
• Experience in integrating legacy systems into a modern platform

• Experience with OutSystems-based delivery
• Experience in GovTech tech stack
• Experience in OutSystems-based delivery
• Experience in handling legacy tech systems
• Experience in integrating applications with AI or machine learning services
• Experience in UX design and problem discovery, such as facilitating user research and co-creation workshops, problem framing, service blueprinting, user journey mapping and synthesising research findings into actionable requirements
• Familiarity with AI tools to accelerate research synthesis, requirements documentation and ways of working
