Key Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Engineering
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the organization's network infrastructure, spanning planning and design through procurement, implementation, and ongoing operations.
- Evaluate and implement new network solutions that enhance the capability, security, and manageability of network infrastructure.
- Participate as a network subject matter expert in business-specific projects, providing network consultancy and technical support throughout project implementation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and vendors to deliver systems and projects, ensuring adherence to budget, technical specifications, and all relevant requirements.
- Manage network infrastructure projects, including the procurement of network solutions, coordination with vendors to ensure timely completion of implementation works, and engagement of stakeholders through presentations and progress reports.
- Manage assigned teams on their day-to-day BAU task and projects implementation.
- Respond to and resolve network-related incidents, providing timely updates to stakeholders on investigation findings and remediation actions taken.
- Perform firmware and software updates in accordance with established change management procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and review network architecture.
- Formulate Operation and Support Standards for Enterprise Network Systems to facilitate effective management and review and initiate plans to sustain system functions and capabilities throughout their lifecycle.
- Plan and review project and system maintenance strategies, incorporating Predictive and Pre-emptive Maintenance approaches as part of project requirements.
- Ensure network infrastructure setup is compliant with relevant government ICT policies and hardening guidelines.
- Handle compliance and audit activities, including preparation, responses, and closure of audit findings.
- Maintain reports and provide regular updates on management on project status and operational matters.
- Ensure assigned projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Any ad-hoc task being assigned.
Endpoint Management
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the organization's Endpoint infrastructure, including planning, design, procurement, deployment, operations, maintenance, and retirement.
- Leverage on enterprise endpoint management platforms (e.g. Microsoft Intune, ServiceNow, Dashboards), ensuring endpoint health, compliance, and service availability.
- Evaluate, implement, and continuously improve Endpoint hardware, software, and management solutions to enhance user experience, security, operational efficiency, and manageability.
- Manage endpoint provisioning, software packaging and deployment, operating system imaging, firmware updates, patch management, and device lifecycle activities in accordance with established change management processes.
- Ensure endpoint security and compliance with Government ICT policies, cybersecurity standards, and audit requirements, including vulnerability remediation, endpoint hardening, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Participate as the Endpoint Subject Matter Expert (SME) in business and ICT projects, providing technical consultancy, solution design, implementation, and operational support.
- Plan, manage, and deliver Endpoint infrastructure projects, including procurement, vendor management, implementation, stakeholder engagement, and project reporting, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Lead and supervise on-site IT support engineers, providing technical guidance, task allocation, quality assurance, and oversight of daily operations and project implementation.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex Endpoint incidents and problems, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and providing timely updates to stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Endpoint operational standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, and knowledge articles to support consistent service delivery.
- Plan and implement proactive maintenance, monitoring, capacity planning, and continual service improvement initiatives to ensure reliability, performance, and sustainability of Endpoint services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to design, review, and enhance Endpoint services, ensuring alignment with business and operational requirements.
- Prepare and present regular management reports on project progress, operational performance, service health, risks, compliance, and improvement initiatives.
- Perform any other duties or projects assigned.
- Collaborate with End User Support Services (EUSS) to provision required endpoint devices for users and ensure timely resolution of end-user desktop issues.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in both desktop operations and network infrastructure operations, server and LAN room setup and project deployment.
- Strong knowledge across a range of network technologies, including LAN, WAN, SDN, internet routing, security, and server/LAN room setup.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint suite of services and products (e.g. M365, MS Office, InTune), and knowledge of ITIL v3.
- Experienced in contract and vendor management.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and senior management.
- Competent, self-motivated, proactive, and responsible, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Highly committed and adaptable, with the willingness to work outside of regular hours when operationally required.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated familiarity with enterprise ICT environment, policies, and standards.
- Experience working within Government agencies is preferred.
- Possession of relevant network certifications.
- Possession of relevant M365 related certifications.
- ITIL V3 or higher.
