Application Engineer

We are seeking an Application Engineer to support and enhance business-critical applications. The role covers application development, system configuration, and production support to ensure stable and reliable system operations.

Key Responsibilities

System Operations & Application Support

• Monitor application performance and system jobs to ensure service availability
• Investigate and resolve user queries and system incidents
• Perform structured troubleshooting across applications, databases, and interfaces
• Communicate issue impact and resolution status clearly to stakeholders

Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and components
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
• Implement functional enhancements and technical improvements
• Support cross system integration development

System Configuration & Change Management

• Configure and maintain system parameters, workflows, and user access controls
• Support deployment activities and post-release verification
• Ensure changes follow established change management processes
• Maintain technical documentation for configurations and updates

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field from a local university in Singapore, or equivalent qualification
• 2–3 years of experience in application development and support
• Proficiency in SQL and .NET Core/.NET 6+ (C#)
• Understanding of application architecture and system flows
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Strong ownership, quick learner, attention to detail, and professional communication skills
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry
