About the job Production Scheduler
The Production Scheduler is responsible for all production planning to meet customer supply and demand requirements
with a high degree of accuracy. Scheduler will establish, communicate and maintain the manufacturing schedule with
consideration of equipment, building utilities and staffing constraints; will build and continuously improve systems to
enhance schedule management, communication and adherence; will interface and communicate with Customer Service,
third-party trucking partners, Production (Manufacturing), Materials/Purchasing, Technology, and Maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
a) List in order of importance the duties and responsibilities of the job. Identify what is done and how it is done.
b) Indicate the percent of time spent weekly on each responsibility. Do not include responsibilities that require
less than 5% of time.
Schedule and re-prioritize production schedule for base, blends, and gel coats as sales orders are received
and processed by Customer Service; partner with Production Supervisor and Site Manager in prioritizing
activities and resources to meet business goals. Print production cards and QA documentation for blends
and gel coats.

Work with carriers to schedule trucking for bulk loads and truck loads; maintain bulk trucking load list to ensure
effective communication of trucking schedule and equipment IDs; ensure product is produced for on-time
shipment; communicate late shipments and deliveries to customer service, sales and/or customer. Aid in
resolving carrier related challenges. Produces shipping documents for customs shipments and truckload.

Monitor material requirements planning (MRP) using SAP for intermediate goods, bulk and drum finished
goods and stock products; Lead the inventory control of finished goods, block stock, work off, and raw
materials through programs such as cycle count, weekly packaged RM inventory, closing consumptions, daily
base inventory monitoring.

Support plant efficiency improvements by reviewing batch tickets to ensure actual batch cycle times are in
agreement with established standards.

Participate in plant safety, quality and efficiency initiatives and goals, active member of the Site Leadership Team 15%
Support ISO Program by ensuring shipping documentation / checklists are competed, batch cards are completed
properly.

Must be assertive, decisive, and able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of practical problems;
have an understanding of and/or ability to learn SAP Enterprise Resource Planning; strong verbal and written communication
and math skills; able to multi-task with minimal supervision; perform with attention to detail, maintain organization and
prioritizing in a fluid - fast paced ISO environment; proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of logistics and inventory control
Education: Education, licenses, certifications or degrees needed to perform the job.
H.S diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred in Business or Engineering related field or 5 or more
years of directly related professional experience in production planning, preferably in a manufacturing or technical
environment.
