D365 F&O Integration Developer

We're looking for a D365 F&O Integration Developer (X++ / Finance) to build and maintain the integrations that keep a major energy/power client's financial data flowing correctly into Dynamics 365 F&O.

This is primarily a hands-on development role with a strong integration focus (X++ extensions, Azure integration services, and Finance/Accounts Receivable data).

You'll own integration design end-to-end - working with finance, engineering, and Azure/infrastructure teams to keep invoicing, payments, and settlement data flowing cleanly into F&O.

Your role with us:

-You'll build integrations connecting internal operational systems with Dynamics 365 F&O. 

-You'll turn finance and integration requirements into robust, production-grade X++ extensions and Azure integrations. 

-You'll take ownership of integration design, delivery, resilience, and monitoring.

What you'll actually do:

Build business-critical integrations

-Design and develop X++ extensions in D365 F&O using the extension model.

-Build and maintain a robust Accounts Receivable integration covering customer invoicing, payments, settlement, and GL touchpoints. 

-Work across standard F&O integration patterns: Data Management Framework / data entities, OData, custom REST services, recurring integrations, business events, and the batch/package API. 

-Design and build the Azure side of each integration: Logic Apps, Service Bus (queues/topics), and Azure Functions.

Make integrations resilient

-Build in proper error handling, retries, and idempotency so integrations recover gracefully instead of failing silently. 

-Set up monitoring so issues surface early - before they hit Finance's ability to close the books.

-Validate data consistency and recovery behaviour as volumes and integration scope grow.

Keep delivery structured and moving

-Collaborate with finance stakeholders, engineering teams, and the wider integration program.

- Maintain clear integration designs, data flows, and error-handling documentation. 

-Plan integration delivery as the program scales into a second project starting next month that needs the same skillset.

What we're looking for:

-X++ development experience in D365 F&O (extension model). 

-Strong experience with standard F&O integration patterns: Data Management Framework / data entities, OData, custom (REST) services, recurring integrations, business events, batch/package API. 

-Hands-on experience with the Azure integration stack: Logic Apps, Service Bus (queues/topics), Azure Functions. 

-Solid grounding in the Finance domain, specifically Accounts Receivable (invoicing, payments, settlement) and GL touchpoints. 

-Strong grasp of integration design fundamentals: error handling, retries, idempotency, monitoring.

Nice to have:

-Experience with Dual-write / Dataverse, API Management, Event Grid. -Familiarity with bank/payment file formats (ISO 20022, SEPA). 

-Experience with Electronic invoicing / Electronic Reporting. Energy/utility billing or CIS (customer information system) experience.

-Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD, LCS build pipelines. 

-Exposure to Power Platform.

Additional notes:

-Quick hiring process feedback within 48 hours.

-Occasional travel to client offices in Europe may be required.

-This is a long-term engagement - at least 2 years of work ahead, with a second project starting next month needing the same integration skillset.

-Flexible with notice periods of up to 4 weeks.
