C# Software Engineer

Job Location: 100% remote from Romania, B2B collaboration

Summary: Designs, develops, and tests enterprise software. Typically pairs with a more experienced Software Engineer. On occasion pairs with less experienced or similarly experienced Software Engineer.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Designs, develops, and tests enterprise software consistent with the development process and contemporary software techniques.
• Analyzes API specifications of systems.
• Translates API specifications into working simulation of endpoint using that API.
• Performs debugging and unit testing of software products.
• Pairs with other Software Engineers to code, debug, test and troubleshoot.
• Codes changes to software, which will be reviewed prior to release.
• Participates and contributes to regular planning, stand-up and retrospective sessions.
• Mentor Software Engineer I
• Analyzes specifications of financial systems
• Translates financial specifications into working simulation of an end point
• Build a thorough understanding of systems Paragon software is designed to test
• API design and development
• Implementing ISO8583 technologies

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree (B.S.) in related field or equivalent, two to four years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Proficiencies:

• Visual Studio, C#, Relevant Design Patterns

• Git

• JavaScript

• Experience with relational database systems, like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL

• NUnit

Preferred Proficiencies:

• VB.Net
• TypeScript, Angular/React
• SOAP and RESTful web services
• Linq/Lamda expressions, WPF

Plus Proficiencies (nice to haves but can learn on the job)

• Knowledge of modern cloud deployment solutions, like Azure, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
• ISO 8583, ATM, POS, Financial transaction processing, EMV (contact/contactless), XFS
• Web FASTest SDK
