Dynamics 365 Project Operations Functional Consultant

Job Location: 100% remote


Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 Project Operations Functional Consultant to support the design, configuration, and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver end-to-end project-based solutions, from discovery to post go-live support.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis, discovery workshops, and fit-gap assessments

• Design and configure Dynamics 365 Project Operations (projects, pricing, budgeting, resourcing, cost & revenue, invoicing)

• Translate business requirements into functional solutions and documentation (BRD, FDD, process flows)

• Support system testing, UAT, training, and hypercare phases

• Collaborate with technical consultants and developers for integrations and customizations

• Ensure alignment with financial processes (GL, AR, AP, revenue recognition, WIP)

• Act as a trusted advisor for stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant, ideally with Project Operations

• Strong understanding of project-based accounting and ERP financial processes

• Hands-on experience with functional configuration (end-to-end implementations)

• Excellent business analysis and stakeholder communication skills

• Experience with documentation and functional design

• Ability to work independently in a client-facing role

• Fluent English (written and spoken)
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations

• Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics 365 / Project Operations

• Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies

• Knowledge of Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate)
