Role Overview

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our VoIP team and ensure the quality and reliability of voice communication services.

In this role, you will be responsible for validating end-to-end call flows, identifying issues in signaling and media streams, and contributing to the overall stability of our telephony platform.

  • Key Responsibilities
    Design, develop, and execute test cases for VoIP services (functional, regression, and integration testing)
  • Validate end-to-end call flows (registration, call setup, call teardown, error scenarios)
  • Perform testing of SIP signaling, RTP media streams, and related protocols
  • Analyze logs and network traffic to identify issues (e.g., using tools like Wireshark)
  • Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to clarify requirements and ensure quality
  • Participate in release validation and support production issue investigations
  • Contribute to test automation for API and service-level testing
    Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring clear reproduction steps and impact assessment
  • Continuously improve QA processes, test coverage, and efficiency

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in software testing (manual and/or automation)
    Basic understanding of VoIP technologies (SIP, RTP, call flows)
  • Experience with API testing (e.g., REST, Postman, or similar tools)
    Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, UDP, latency, packet loss)
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with VoIP platforms (e.g., softswitches, SBCs, PBX systems)
  • Experience using Wireshark or similar packet analysis tools
  • Knowledge of Linux environments and basic command-line usage
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Python, Java, or similar)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
