We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our facilities management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in commercial and residential facilities. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to ensuring optimal system performance and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and refrigeration components.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems and provide timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor and adjust system settings to ensure proper functionality and energy efficiency.
- Conduct performance tests and evaluate system specifications to comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and service reports.
- Respond promptly to service requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal downtime for facilities.
- Collaborate with other team members, contractors, and clients to assess HVAC needs and implement appropriate solutions.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices for HVAC maintenance and repair.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an HVAC Technician, preferably in facilities management.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, and rooftop units.
- Knowledge of HVAC control systems, electrical systems, and building automation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Valid HVAC technician license and EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
- Availability for on-call work, overtime, and occasional travel, as needed.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks in various weather conditions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with energy-efficient and environmentally friendly HVAC technologies.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
