Construction Junior Estimator

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a contract role for a Junior Estimator. As a Junior Estimator, you will beresponsible for assisting in the estimation and cost analysis of constructionprojects. You will collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to gatherproject specifications, analyze data, and prepare accurate estimates. This is anon-site role based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

PRINCIPAL REQUIRED TASKS

Estimates

Prepare Presentation / reports of Scope of work for bidding projects

Take-off quantities digital + from the different divisions such as those in theCSI Master Format specs.

Prepare concept generators & breakdown cost.

Create construction budgets in Excel in L.E.M.S.O. format

Prepare project schedule in MS Project.

Elaborate partial estimates for change orders in current company projects.

Coordinate submittals with suppliers & subcontractors compling with project

specifications to feed submittal log.

Quotations request and record.

Drafting proposals, reports, and memorandums in Word.

Coordinate purchase orders with suppliers

Preparation of RFIs for clients and/or designers with graphics and writing.

Assistance in auctions bids, pre-bids, and report submission.

Assist in preparing bids and proposals documentation, breakdowns, etc.

Preparation of permit files.

Consultation and registration of online bids.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in construction estimating or related field at least 5 years.

Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Proficiency in using construction estimation software.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred.
