Our current client is a global leader in airport ground services and air cargo handling. On their behalf, we are looking for a Process Engineer with Accounting & Controlling Focus, who is ready for new opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the current organization of Accounting and Controlling processes (note: existing processes are not formally documented).
  • Map, document, and standardize end-to-end processes to enable smooth knowledge transfer and operational implementation in Bulgaria.
  • Identify inefficiencies and propose optimization measures to improve process effectiveness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Evaluate the use of current systems (SAP and Zycus) and propose ways to increase their efficiency and integration within the workflows.
  • Recommend potential new tools or technologies that could support process efficiency and automation.
  • Develop clear process documentation, including flowcharts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control frameworks.
  • Train and support teams to ensure consistent understanding and adoption of newly defined processes.
  • Work closely with Accounting, Controlling, and IT teams to ensure process improvements align with business goals and system capabilities.
  • Support the successful transition and stabilization of the processes within the Bulgarian operations.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Process Engineer, Business Process Analyst, or Finance Process Optimization role.
  • Hands-on experience with process mapping tools and workflow documentation (e.g., Visio, ARIS, Lucidchart, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, especially SAP (experience with Zycus or similar procurement tools is an advantage).

Nice to have:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Direct experience working with Accounting and Controlling processes (e.g., AP/AR, GL, Cost Controlling, Reporting, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of German languages is a plus.
