Our current client is a global company that operates in 58 countries worldwide and is a global leader in developing individual mobility solutions. They help help people maintain or regain their freedom of movement. The company headquarter is in Duderstadt, Germany but they have both large production facilities in Bulgaria as well as a shared services center in Sofia.

On their behalf, we are looking for a Senior Group Reporting Specialist to join their Group Accounting function and play a key role in ensuring IFRS-compliant financial reporting across the company.

Responsibilities:

Group Reporting & Accounting

  • Ensure accurate presentation of IFRS16 in the group financial statements;
  • Actively participate in the month-end closing activities for lease accounting;
  • Support the preparation of IFRS 16 Disclosures for the group financial statements;
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of IFRS policies and procedures.

IFRS & Technical Accounting

  • Act as a Group IFRS16 expert, ensuring consistent and compliant accounting across all Ottobock entities;
  • Provide technical guidance on lease arrangements, including modifications, renewals, reassessments, and terminations;
  • Support the interpretation and implementation of IFRS requirements in close collaboration with local finance teams.

Lease Process Management & System Governance

  • Coordinate the collection, validation, and completeness of lease data from various business units;
  • Perform lease contracts analysis and interpretation from an IFRS 16 perspective;
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of lease contracts input into the lease accounting system;
  • Contribute to internal controls implementation and execution. Support the annual external audit on IFRS 16-related matters;
  • Support the implementation of lease database reporting solutions for key stakeholders;
  • Play important role in the IFRS16 process design and transformation.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is considered an advantage;
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting / Finance;
  • Good knowledge of IFRS, ideally with hands-on experience in IFRS 16;
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP. Consolidation systems and Lease management tools experience an advantage;
  • Confident user of MS Office tools;
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented working style;
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels;
  • Fluent written and spoken English (additional languages are a plus).
