Our current client is a global company that operates in 58 countries worldwide and is a global leader in developing individual mobility solutions. They help help people maintain or regain their freedom of movement. The company headquarter is in Duderstadt, Germany but they have both large production facilities in Bulgaria as well as a shared services center in Sofia.

On their behalf, we are looking for a Senior/Regular RTR Specialist with German to join their expanding Sofia team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting accounting services for processes and countries in scope;
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Support intercompany reconciliations & clearing;
  • Fixed asset accounting;
  • Bank accounting and reconciliation;
  • Payroll accounting;
  • Preparation and booking of various accruals, provisions, and prepayments;
  • Monthly revaluations;
  • Lease Accounting (under IFRS 16);
  • Responsible for the month-end process;
  • Provide support to controlling, local finance teams, PTP, and OTC teams in the area of Record-to-Report;
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for selected partners and/or processes;
  • Responsible for local statistics reporting – preparation, validation, and
  • submission of VAT, Intrastat, and ECSL reports;
  • Participate in transition activities and process improvement projects
  • Support audit activities;
  • Participate/lead cross-training of junior associates and new team members;
  • Follow internal control procedures and accounting policies in accordance with the internal control framework.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration;
  • More than 3 years of experience in the Accounting area;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills;
  • ERP knowledge – SAP experience is a strong advantage;
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and standards, including IFRS;
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks at hand, time management skills;
  • Strong team player;
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Fluent business English required;
  • At least very good German is a must;
  • ACCA/CIMA qualifications would be considered an advantage.
