About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Penetration Test Specialist to join our rapidly growing Professional Security Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive penetration tests against our clients critical systems, network, infrastructure and applications, identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities, and providing actionable recommendations for remediation. You will also be involved in developing and maintaining our penetration testing methodology and tools, and staying up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive penetration tests against a variety of systems and applications, including web applications, mobile applications, internal networks, and cloud environments.
- Identify and exploit vulnerabilities using a variety of techniques, such as manual testing, automated scanning, and social engineering.
- Prioritize identified vulnerabilities based on their severity, exploitability, and business impact.
- Develop and document detailed reports of your findings, including proof of concept exploits and recommendations for remediation.
- Work with development and operations teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our penetration testing methodology and tools.
- Participate in incidence response for our clients when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in penetration testing or a related field.
- Expert knowledge of penetration testing methodologies and tools.
- Proven experience in identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in a variety of systems and applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and written documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for information security and a desire to stay up-to-date on the latest threats and vulnerabilities.
Scope of Work:
- The Senior Penetration Test Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of the penetration testing process, from scoping and planning to reporting and remediation.
- They will work closely with the sales and clients IT Security team and other stakeholders to ensure that penetration tests are conducted efficiently and effectively.
- The Senior Penetration Test Specialist will also be expected to stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities and to share this knowledge with the team.
- Knowledge transfer is expected when required to guide junior pentesters.
