Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to drive our Commercial strategy and sales enablement functions. As the Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization, working closely with Global Sales Team to achieve exceptional results. Your role is crucial in identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, shaping the future of sales, and driving significant revenue growth within the port agency and shipping industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Strategy Development:
    • Working closely with Global Sales Team in ensuring performance aligns with the companys strategic goals and vision.
    • Identify key trends and opportunities within the commercial landscape and implement strategies to capitalize on them.
    • Collaborate with the Country Manager to drive strategic projects, including market analysis, and identification of key growth areas.
  2. Sales Funnel Optimization:
    • Own and optimize the sales funnel and associated processes, with a focus on improving lead generation and assignment metrics.
    • Periodically review and refine sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Translate complex sales data into actionable insights, providing clear, concise, and impactful recommendations to senior management.
    • Develop presentations that ensure decision-making is grounded in robust data analysis.
    • Track and analyze key performance metrics to monitor performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with broader business goals and objectives.
    • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages the sharing of insights and best practices across teams.
  5. Project Management:
    • Lead and manage strategic projects as assigned by the Country Manager, ensuring timely and successful execution.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet business objectives and deliver tangible results.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Minimum 10+ years of experience in Commercial within the port agency or shipping related industry. Candidates with port agency operation experiences are encouraged to apply.
  2. Strong understanding of sales methodologies, market analysis techniques, and strategic planning frameworks.
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
