Salary range : RM 8,000 - RM11,500

Requirement : 5 to 8 years experience in human resources as a HR Assistant Manager/Manager (HRBP) or Generalist in a plant environment.

: Must have working appreciation of all fields within HR. ( Recruitment- Local/Expatriate & Service Support )

: HR strategy implementation with client groups solving business needs.

: Must have worked effectively with client groups solving business problems in a fast paced and matrixed environment.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Manager will become a key member of the Malaysia operations leadership team supporting and improving the human capital productivity and organizational effectiveness aligned with the organizations business objectives. 

The Assistant Manager will partner with members of the business leadership team and HR peers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Provide end-to-end operational HR support to business/country leaders within a country/countries.

-Employer Branding & Recruiting: Responsible for all the recruiting process: starting the job description, recruiting network (database, LinkedIn, headhunters etc), collection of CV, interviews and feedbacks until the job offer letter to the candidate and the on boarding.

-Support business managers under direction of Head of HR, Asia on plans to drive performance, plans and initiatives to support local and business strategy.

-Ensure timely participation to Government surveys and other statutory compliance requests.

-Partner with assigned clients groups on maximizing human resources in support of business needs.

-Provide support and practices appropriate to the needs of a geographically spread organization; support managers in leading a geographically spread workforce and in responding to the challenges inherent in a matrix organization.

-Partner with managers to proactively develop recruitment strategies for long-term needs.

-Provide education and counseling to managers regarding interviewing and selection skills.

-Manage or support recruitment lifecycle, inclusive but not limited to: hiring manager partnership, agency employee administration, candidate sourcing, candidate screening, interview scheduling, interview team participation, and offer letter administration. Conduct employee relations and investigations that produce corrective action recommendations to managers that meet the following standards: based on objective criteria and facts, designed to achieve desired performance / conduct, consistently administered, and legally defensible.

-Product compensation recommendations to managers that meet the following standards: adheres to band structure, adheres to promotion guidelines, internally equitable, externally competitive, and produced within five business days.

- Comply with applicable employment law and recruiting best practices, including sourcing for a diverse range of candidates.

-Support and advocate corporate policies and guidelines in US though interactions with business units

-Act as an advisor to business units, regarding employment law matters. Interface with HR Manager on policies & guidelines.

- Complete prompt and accurate employee change requests in partnership with site leadership.

-Work closely with the country/regional leadership team and contribute to the Business strategy driving the growth targets for Malaysia operations. Work with Global and Regional COEs to align HR practices that reinforce desired culture, balancing the requirements of external customers, business strategy and engaged employees.

-Drive or implement HR related projects or programs to enhance organizational effectiveness. These may include, but are not limited to: HR systems, payroll, talent, and compensation & benefits platforms.

-Ensure client groups are fully resourced to budget levels with high caliber staff at all locations capable of meeting current and anticipated business challenges.

-Provide prompt and accurate HR reports.

-Manage hostels/transport for direct labor.

-Liaise with contractor or outsourced resources providing the services such as accommodation and food/canteen.

-Management process of Expatriate Hiring and liaise with Immigration Department, and Expatriate Services Division (ESD) on permit application and renewal.

-Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.

-Other duties assigned by Human Resources Manager.

SKILLS:

-Strong understanding of traditional HR tools: staffing, C&B, organization design, performance management, HR measurement and legal compliance.

-Understanding of workforce demographic issues/trends.

-Demonstrated relationship and influencing skills that will be effective in a complex, rapidly moving organization. Creative in approach with diplomacy.

-Proven ability to effectively deal with conflict.

-Ability to work conceptually as well as deliver operationally and will possess a strong mix of strategic and operational HR skills.

-Ability to think strategically and act operationally.

-Strong relationship management skills: a skillful team player with the ability to network effectively up, down and across the business.

-Excellent communication skills; articulate, possessing both credibility and integrity.

-Assertiveness, confidence, a self-starter.

-English language capabilities

EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

-5 to 8 years experience in human resources as a HR Assistant Manager/Manager (HRBP) or Generalist in a plant environment. Must have working appreciation of all fields within HR.

-HR strategy implementation with client groups solving business needs.

-Must have worked effectively with client groups solving business problems in a fast paced and matrixed environment.

-Must have experience with a highly professional workforce.

Desirable:

Project management skills.

EDUCATION:

Essential:

-Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline.

Desirable:

PHR, SPHR, or GPHR

Masters degree in human resources, Business, or related discipline.

OTHERS:
