Summary:

Support and assist Junior Network Engineers in any core network related concerns, migrations, troubleshooting and newly acquired projects for network enhancements and improvements to provide quality internet service for our most valued customers and to assist and mentor junior network engineers with any task and responsibilities assigned to them.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelors/College degree in ECE, CPE, IT or equivalent.

CCNA/HCNA/HCNA/HCNP Certification or any equivalent from other Vendor.

Relevant Experience:

1. At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in Network related job is required for this position.
2. With experience in Routing and Switching implementation and operation.

Business Understanding:

1. Experience in working on ISP or Telecommunication company.

2. Knowledge in computer based office works such as MS OFFICE, EXCEL and

POWERPOINT presentation.

3. Very Good work ethic.

Technical Knowledge:

1. Knowledge in configuration and troubleshooting of network devices and equipment.

2. Experience in managing Network Monitoring Tools.

3. Knowledge and skills in Design, Implementation,

4. Operation and troubleshooting of Layer 2 and 3 protocol and devices.

5. Knowledge in MPLS, IP Core, CDN, CGN, Aggregation, Access, PTN, CPE design, implementation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

6. Knowledge in Fiber Optic technology as well as experience in operating fiber optic cable and Ethernet test equipment

Network Capacity Management

1. Renders 24x7 on-call duty.

2. Ensures sufficient manage network link capacity and collaborate with Engineer IV and other concern groups to create augmentation plan.

Network Assurance Management

1. Ensures network elements link redundancy and resiliency and collaborate with Engineer IV and other concern groups to finalize augmentation plan.

2. Work closely with colleagues and other groups under Network Operation to perform comprehensive and thorough troubleshooting for escalated issues encountered by manage/controlled network elements. Escalates to Specialist when situation requires.

3. Assist Engineer II and I on handling escalated issues to vendor support and 3rd party providers to further check and troubleshoot network related issue.

4. Assist Engineer II and I for further troubleshooting related issues or irregularities of manage network monitoring tools.

5. Creates and process approval of CMRs for health check maintenance activities.

6. Perform other duties assigned by Management.

7. Renders 24x7 on-call duty.

Network Element Provisioning

1. Handles provisioning tasks under International Transport Network, IPCORE, and CDN Facilities.

2. Handles provisioning of upstream capacity, (Tier 1 ISPs, Local and International IX, and PNIs).

3. Handles the creation of detailed Network Diagram.

4. Responsible for the allocations of Public and Private IP subnets used for all network Elements.

5. Perform other duties assigned by Management.

6. Renders 24x7 on-call duty

Network Activity Management

1. Perform major maintenance activities under International and Local Upstream/Peers connections, International Transport Network, IPCORE, and CDN Facilities which includes Software and hardware upgrade, expansion and Capacity Upgrade.

2. Collaborate with lower level Engineer for the creation and approval processing of CMR and MOPs.

3. Regularly updates Network Monitoring Tools in every network changes made.

4. Perform other duties assigned by Management.

5. Renders 24x7 on-call duty.
